The App Description, sometimes called the App Long Description is the text that is displayed in either of the app stores. It is meant to help the app developer or marketer explain the benefits and contents of the app, for users who have never downloaded it before. It can explain specific features and benefits, describe content or outline features, or all of the above. App long descriptions are hard to format, so often spacing and capital letters are used to create the idea of headings, and topic groupings. Keywords included in the long description do not count towards ranking in the App Store, but can help somewhat for rankings in Google Play. App Descriptions should always be written and optimized though, because they do appear to drive app rankings and possibly App Pack rankings in Google .The maximum length of an App Description is 4,000 characters, including spaces.
