Native App

Native apps are generally Android or iOS apps that are accessed through app stores, rather than on the web. They are different from web apps, because while they may access and display web content, they are not designed to live on the web or use HTML. Instead, they live, ‘natively’ on the device that they are downloaded to. They are not inter-operable, so a native app that is built for iOS will only work on iOS devices, and a native app that is built for Android will only work on Android devices. This is also different from web apps, which are designed to work on the web, on either Android or iOS devices.
